Hi guys! Hope you all are doing well; I’m currently having tons of fun in Amsterdam! If I haven’t been very active on the blog recently, it is mainly due to shitty wifi. I’m always updating my Instagram though! @milanotochicago, you won’t regret it. Anyway, I digress.
Today I want to talk about something pretty unusual for me: skincare! Although I never write about it, I actually am very interested in skincare, because I have very sensitive skin. I had to learn a lot about products and how to take care of my own skin. In fact, I’ve had tons of dermatologist appointments in the past couple of years; I suffer from acne, eczema, dry and oily skin. I’ve seen it all!
If there’s something where I’m picky and I splurge, it’s skincare products. My skin doesn’t always react in the best of ways to skincare stuff, so I need to invest in quality products. On top of that, while I do have tons of great cleansers, sheet masks, charcoal masks, clay masks, toners and serums at home, you might know by now that I travel a lot. Therefore, I really needed a way to take care of my skin when I’m not home and have all my beauty products.
This is one of the reasons why I utilize a Clarisonic device. Clarisonic and Her Campus Media sent a device to me (thank you SO MUCH!), but I have owned one for a number of years and I am a regular customer of theirs.
I have always been very happy with Clarisonic as a brand, as well as all of their products. On top of the device, I have tried their clay mask and their Pore and Blemish Gel Cleanser. I am telling you, I see results!
Clarisonic is so easy to add to my routine, easy to carry around – it’s so light and small you guys! – and most importantly, it’s easy on my sensitive skin. In fact, it does not exfoliate. It gently cleanses my skin and leaves it soft. After I clean it, I add a heavy moisturizer and there you have it. A simplified, on the go skincare routine.
Just a tip: when packing for a trip, dry off the bristles of your Clarisonic before you stuff it in your luggage, that way you’ll take better care of your brush. It’s also a good idea to charge your device before you leave on your trip so you don’t have to worry about it later or pack a charger!
That’s all for now, my friends. I will see you in my next post, and expect to publish a lot of travel content soon so stay tuned!
I’ve always wanted to try one, thank you for your advice, maybe I finally will, soon haha
Great post!
Thank you so much! I honestly think you will love it!
